During the last 2 years of World War II this was the only remaining cigarette in Germany and it's occupied territories. It came in 2 different types - round or oval - depending on the available machines in the remaining cigarette companies. Production discontinued November 1948.

SONDERMISCHUNG 16 got introduced in June 1947 by BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO and discontinued December 1948. It's just an updated version of SONDERMISCHUNG TYP 4 PFG since the price for one cigarette was no longer 4 Pfennig, but 16 Pfennig.
