Simon Arzt was a turkish tobacco plantation owner producing his cigarettes in Egypt (like many others at this time) because of the favourable tax regulations there. His first factory got established in 1869 at Port Said, 1907 at Cairo, 1913 at Alexandria.

At Germany SIMON ARZT №70L got introduced in March 1952 and discontinued December 1985.
