CIGARETTENFABRIK POLO got founded in 1920 at Merzig by HAUS NEUERBURG. In 1935 both companies got acquired by REEMTSMA. After WWII REEMTSMA used it's shares of BADISCHE TABAKMANUFAKTUR ROTH-HÄNDLE to install a new POLO company on the paper only at Lahr in Baden. If a cigarette pack shows POLO at Lahr as the producer, it was in fact produced by BADISCHE TABAKMANUFAKTUR ROTH-HÄNDLE at Lahr.
